Mofo Hockey is an adult ball hockey league (shoes, not roller) at an outdoor rink in lower Manhattan near the South Street Seaport. The league started in June 2008. The rink is 84 feet wide and 149 feet long. We play by USA Hockey rules (as apply to a non-ice surface) with some modifications, officiated by professional USA Hockey registered referees. There is no checking allowed. We aim to provide a highly skilled game without aggression. Anyone involved in fighting is permanently expelled from the league. Both men and women are welcome to join.
Location
All Mofo hockey games are played at Moffo Rink in Tanahey Park, located at the intersection of Cherry Street and Catherine Street in Lower Manhattan.
The closest public transportation is the F-train (East Broadway station), the B/D-train (Grand Street station), and the M15 and M15-select bus (stop at Madison and Catherine). Parking around Moffo Rink is often hard to come by, and you may need to look for parking on Pike/Allen St.
